Graphic Designer

NOTE: This is a contractor position and you'll be working from your own home.

We’re looking for a rockstar Graphic Designer to create engaging and on-brand graphics for a variety of media.

Reports to:

Marketing Team Leader

Goals:

To inspire and attract our target audience, delight customers, improve the brand’s digital reputation, expand engagement, increase sales, and grow our online community.

Objectives:

Visualize and create graphics including logos, layouts, and photos
Shape the visual aspects of visual aspects of websites, social media, online products, events, books, book covers and more
Capture the attention of those who see them
Communicate the right message

Here’s what you’ll be doing on our team:

Study design briefs and determine requirements
Conceptualize visuals based on requirements
Prepare rough drafts and present ideas
Develop illustrations, logos, web page layouts, social media assets and other designs using software or by hand
Use the appropriate colors and layouts for each graphic
Work with copywriters and Marketing Team Leader to produce final design
Test graphics across various media
Amend designs after feedback
Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand

Preferred qualifications include:

Proven graphic designing experience
A strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics
Familiarity with design software and technologies (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop)
A keen eye for aesthetics and details
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines
Degree in Design, Fine Arts or related field is a plus
