Social Media Strategist

NOTE: You do NOT have to live in Miami to join the team.

This is a contractor position and you'll be working from your own home.

We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, a team player and a self-starter. You take great pride in knowing the latest trends in social content and platform updates. The ever-changing digital landscape intrigues you and you understand social communications across multiple digital touchpoints. Rather than just participate in social media, you have an understanding of how it can be leveraged to benefit businesses and brands.

In this role, you will be leading our social media team and responsible for setting the strategy for various social media channels. This is a fast-paced environment and we’re looking for someone who understands social metrics and is able to identify the ‘so what?’ behind them as you’ll also be working on analytics, insights development and reporting to measure the success of our campaigns.

**Here's what you'll be doing on our team…**
  • Strategic planning and coming up with innovative ideas to increase followership & engagement across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube.
  • Looking for new and innovative ways to grow and reach our community through social media via both paid and organic means
  • Research audience preferences and discover current trends
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in all social platforms to drive maximum effectiveness
  • Executing ideas and ensuring new & impactful ways of pushing out social media content and developing multi-platform social media community management guidelines
  • Supporting the creation of monthly trend reports, campaign pulse reports and conducting sentiment analysis
  • Analyze campaigns and translate anecdotal or qualitative data into recommendations and plans for revising social media, content marketing, SEO and social advertising campaigns.
  • Monitor effective benchmarks (Best Practices) for measuring the impact of social media campaigns.
  • Analyze, review, and report on effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximize results.
  • Lead the Social Media team to develop an optimal posting schedule, considering web traffic and customer engagement metrics
  • Leading the creation of organic content (ideation, creative development, copywriting)
  • Leading the management of the monthly content calendars
  • Providing thought-starters into new & emerging trends and how they might be applied to current projects and campaigns
  • Strategize and implement new ways to attract prospective customers, and lead them through to a sale

**What you bring to the table…**
  • a minimum of 2 years leadership experience working in social media marketing and community management
  • extensive knowledge in social media channels such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, LinkedIn and emerging platforms
  • exceptional writing skills for social content
  • demonstrated ability to fully understand social media metrics and what they mean to businesses and brands
  • exemplary grammar, communication skills, reporting skills
  • history of Social Media channel creation and community growth
  • knowledge of Facebook Ads Manager, Social Media advertising
  • Facebook Live experience
  • working knowledge of Google Suite; docs, sheets, etc.
  • BS degree in Marketing, New media or relevant field is a plus
  • demonstrated knowledge of creative platforms such as VSCO, Promo, etc. in order to optimize and repurpose existing content effectively.
